WHO WE ARE

The APRECOPAZ Foundation NGO emerged as an initiative in 2018 driven by ex-military personnel who, after their participation in the Colombian armed conflict, decided to commit to peace and reconciliation, acting as a true agent of social transformation. Within the framework of the Victims Law and the transitional justice process in Colombia, the former combatants pledged to share the story of the conflict from their experience, promoting non-repetition of violence. APRECOPAZ NGO aligns itself with TOAR Projects (Works, Tasks, and Activities with Restorative and Reparative Content), and with the stipulations of Article 141 of Law 1957 of 2019 (Statutory Law of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace, JEP), which recognizes the importance of reparative actions by former combatants. Through its work, APRECOPAZ NGO contributes to the comprehensive reparation of victims and the reintegration of the vulnerable population affected by the conflict, putting all its effort into building a lasting peace in Colombia.
